Mrs. Wooley grew up in St. John the Baptist’s parish near the Bevo Mill in south St. Louis. She knew from a very young age that she was called to be an educator. She even made her siblings be “students” so she could practice! She attended Catholic school from kindergarten through high school and graduated from Fontbonne College with a BA in Deaf Education and Elementary Education. She then moved to Texas to teach where, after a few years, she met her husband, Richard. She took some time away from the classroom to raise her three children. Upon returning to the St. Louis area, she began teaching again. Over the course of her career, she has taught most grade levels as well as the subject areas of Math, Social Studies, and Language Arts. In 2015, she transitioned to principal while earning her MA in Educational Leadership. She feels that being an educator in a Catholic school is a blessing because she can spend each day in the company of those who live the faith.
